Guess what, video games are good for your sight!

Who would have thought, eh?

Dr Daphne Bavelier at the University of Rochester, New York, found out, during his studies on eye vision, that playing a little bit of Unreal Tournament over a period of nine weeks helped his test subjects to gain a whopping 43% in contrast sensitivity.

The interesting fact is that this improvement did last for months after the test was made.

This is said to be an important step for non surgical and non contact lens cures against amblyopia, known also as lazy eye, a disease that affects 3% of western population.

He also tested some other guys with The Sims, but the game was so boring that they only gained 13% in contrast perception :D
